If you already know and like both of these artists then you know what to expect. The dreamy drones of Fennesz meets the heart warming piano of Ryuichi Sakamoto, and the result is an album of wandering compositions that take you to so many different places. The mild electronics added as a layer on top of everything here and there moderately are helpful in creating an avant garde aura. You just can not afford to miss the collaboration of these two masterminds.

I love the album, one of my favorite of the year. But was anyone else just slightly disappointed? I found the tracks disparate and the album seemed to lack a cohesive focus or central mood. Did anyone like this about the album? Am I all alone in my opinions as well as my room?

Pure ambient bliss. Have I used this term before? Well, I can't get enough of beautiful music. Especially now that I'm a proud owner of Grado SR-125 headphones! Cendre is a perfect album to launch me into sonic ecstasy!
