A fascinating little album which evokes something like its cover art; cartoonish blocks of color. This is deceptively simple electronic music, almost as simplistic as a 90s video-game soundtrack, yet with the depth and tonal range of Kraftwerk or Plone. Warm and playful synths throughout, though with an occasional darkness (particularly in the last track) that evokes Boards of Canada. (Also, vaguely interesting trivia: Rob Lee, the guy behind Wax Stag, is the inspiration for the Chris Clark track of the same name.) Style: Electro RIYL: Plone, Kraftwerk Buy from Norman Records MySpace Download: Gold Gold
