Now this is an interesting one from City Centre Offices sublabel Buro. TMABI (long name huh?) weaves jazz arrangements with classical instruments and occasional vocals and electronic manipulation for a really unique sound. Apparently, they've already released a few albums, but this is the first with vocals, and even though it's more spoken word than singing, it adds a lot to the music. "Living In The Future" is absolutely understated gem, one of my favorites of the year for sure, and it's followed by the instrumental future jazz "88". That probably sounds disjointed, put it's one of the best one two punches of the year. In a strange way the album flows very well together through a collision of styles, and is highly recommended for people who like records that can't be easily categorized.

Style: Future Jazz, Indielectronic

RIYL: The Gentleman Losers, I'm Not a Gun
