Am-Boy’s first two albums failed to impress me all that much; Forrest Wolf seemed to be operating in the shadow of his Wobblyhead labelmates (Casino Versus Japan, Signaldrift, Freescha) - all of whom are, of course, operating in the overarching shadow cast by the Hexagon Sun. But where "Floridian" and "Clayton’s Hideout" were somewhat boring and mediocre, this latest album is consistently remarkable; I would have left out a couple tracks (the LP clocks in at over 70 minutes), but overall, this is warm lo-fi electronic music at its very best - playful and nostalgic.

Style: IDM, Ambient

RIYL: Casino Versus Japan, Freescha

Listening to this now. Great stuff. Definitely has the Freescha/CVJ sound going on, but it's its own take on it, not some sort of carbon copy.
