Having heard Cepia on some compilations a few years ago, I knew there was talent behind it, but last year's Atlantic Blood left something to be desired. Finally making his Ghostly debut after numerous compilation appearances and remixes, Cepia delivers on his early promise with a gorgeous collection of IDM and melody-driven techno. Cepia’s tracks build and expand, morphing into extremely captivating pieces via controlled complexity, not through overpowering, harsh sounds. While only clocking in around 30 minutes, Natura Morta feels like a tour-de-force, and a worthy addition to the collection of still digging the sounds of Merck and early-to-mid Warp Records.

Style: IDM

RIYL: Lackluster, Arovane
