Plaid return to soundtrack the anime Tekkon Kinkreet (Black and White). Simply put, this is Plaid at its finest. So, for fans, this is a must hear. Will probably see a US/European release soon so hold off on paying import prices at the moment.

Style: IDM, Ambient

RIYL: Aphex Twin, µ-ziq

the soundtrack is amazing! I must say. But your lack of interest in the movie by its self shows that you are not a very artistic person. this movie touched me and made me think. i connected and so should you. im sure you dont have the cabability of creating such a masterpiece. i recommend buying it right away! smilies/angry.gif

This soundtrack is some of Plaid's best work in years IMO. It has the traditional trademarks of Plaid's style and even some new ground not fully realized on any of their past work. The soundtrack fits so well with the material it was made for, unfortunately the movie that this accompanies isn't quite as good. Overall though Tekkonkinkreet as a whole (soundtrack and anime) work wonderfully together and there is a nice interview with Handley and Turner on the DVD as a nice bonus. I recommend a rental to those who are remotely interested.
