Feist delivers her third album, and it is the summer pop record as far as I’m concerned. Feist’s heralded 2004 album Let it Die toed the line between cuteness and cheesiness, and with this record, she never so much as approaches the latter, because she is so in control of her craft at this point, the songs just sound like natural lullabies. While her songs sometimes approach extreme simplicity, Feist never makes the songs dull, as her voice is strong enough to carry songs through any moment. Style: Pop Rock, Lounge RIYL: Stars, Sufjan Stevens Download: Brandy Alexander
