Here we are again with a new 5 track EP from Ras “Airhorn!” G on the Ramp label. “Destination There” opens up with “The Wind Speaks… (Press 1)” full of squeaky keys, feedback and ambient noise reminiscent of Sun Ra’s experimental and otherworldly music that feels quite a bit like a meditation in beats. “1derful Beings” is a wonky beat filled with reggae samples, low frequency bass and squeaky laser sounding keys that will for sure disrupt your sound system. “Time Will Heal…” is another wonky joint based around feedback and a vocal sample. “Lisa Bonet” has a nice warm subtle melody floating around in the background over a nice boom-bap beat. It reminds me his “Overcast” EP on Poobah. “Spacewayz” closes out the EP with a stuttery beat while bells and claps ride it out. “Destination There” is a nice little short player. I’m glad Ras is keeping at it.
