Before hitting the shelves with his new LP on Type Records, Goldmund (aka Helios aka Keith Kenniff) releases a mini-album that is made up of snippets that sound immediately like rough sketches. Don't let the number of tracks (11) fool you: Two Point Discrimination clocks just over 24 minutes, with minimalist ethereal piano compositions that are extremely expressive. The theme being the sense of touch, Kenniff records his breathing voice and his foot on the pedal and adds them as layers, successfully creating a tactile effect. Style: Modern Classical RIYL: Helios, Alva Noto & Ryuichi Sakamoto Set as favorite Bookmark

A very good buy indeed. Yes it runs for little over half an hour but this is a facinating, beautiful listen. Buy it today, no really, do.
