I've had mixed feelings about this album. Starting from the first track I wonder "why did I like this again?" But as the tracks unfold, my journey evolves; and at the midpoint, I arrive escorted by thick pads with an airy grasp. Simple break[y] percussion and synth programming swirl around slightly effected vocals and shoe-gazing leads. Hailing from Portland, Alan Grosvenor and Scott Worley have been working on this album for almost two years. Their sound is "lush, enveloping and hyper-textured" and with every listen snuggles you closer to a familiar territory where it "saturates your head with warm and intoxicating, Orange-tinged tones".
Style: Post Rock, Indielectronic
RIYL: Port-Royal, Lights Out Asia
