Plaid follows up their gorgeous score to the anime Tekkonkinkreet with this wonderful remix album, boasting mixes from techno god Derrick May, dubsteppers Vex’d, Prefuse 73, and others, including some local Japanese artists. Fortunately, these remixes don’t drop from the quality of the original score, though they do take the sounds to different places, and in some cases, the dance floor. This anime is out on DVD now, so let’s hope the album and the remixes make it over as well.
