This will be another one of those recommendations that I feel a bit sheepish about, as this release is available only as three extremely out of print 12"s (the full set of which goes for roughly $250). The key person behind this release is Michael Sickinger, an acid house producer, but don't let that scare you off; he seems to have reformed his wayward acid house ways, and the general vibe is more that of dub techno of a particularly austere and ethereal variety. This album is just overflowing with quality; the production (Sickinger worked with Rod Modell, which explains a lot) is deep and masterful, and has near-infinite replay value. If I could go back in time and introduce this album to myself, in 2006, it certainly would have been in my top three LPs of that year. Highly recommended!

Style: Techno, Ambient

RIYL: Porter Ricks, Deepchord
